Tropical rainforests can arguably be considered the most important ecosystem for biodiversity as no other marine or terrestrial ecosystems harbour more species than a tropical rainforest. While they occupy less than 20% of the land on the surface of Earth, tropical rainforests support at least 60% of all known species on the planet! We have chosen 8 ambassadors from the HKBM to introduce some of the animal diversity encountered within tropical rainforests and to greet you there.
